19/12/24, 11:00

The Milan Court has decided to postpone the first hearing of the class action against Philips to April 3, 2025, accepting the request from the defense team.

The Milan Court has decided to postpone the first hearing of the class action against Philips to April 3, 2025, accepting the request from the defense team of the affected parties. This postponement was motivated by the need for more time to thoroughly respond to the complex exceptions and documents presented by Philips, which had opposed the request. The judge recognized the importance of ensuring adequate defense for the plaintiffs, given the vast litigation involving an entire category of medical device users.

At the end of January, the legal team will submit written briefs and documents, while Philips will have until March 3, 2025, to reply.

The choice to request a postponement was dictated by the desire to handle the case with maximum seriousness and caution, to demonstrate the incorrectness of Philips' statements.
