Update on the CPAP Class Action against Philips (March 2025)

The Court of Milan has adjourned the hearing in the CPAP class action against Philips, originally scheduled for 3 April 2025, postponing it to 19 June 2025.

Reasons for the adjournment:

-insufficient number of judges in the division

-excessive workload.

This postponement highlights the understandable difficulties faced by the judicial system following the introduction of class actions and the importance of continuing to monitor the case closely.

We are committed to making legal claims by large groups of people as efficient and manageable as possible. And to keeping you updated, of course.

The second news item is almost identical to the first and may bear the date 23 May 2025, with a free photo of the Court of Milan.

Update on the CPAP Class Action against Philips (May 2025):

The Court of Milan has once again postponed the hearing scheduled for 19 June 2025; the new date is 23 October 2025.

The reason for the postponement is the same, as is our full understanding of the staffing difficulties faced by judges and administrative staff. The Ministry of Justice must significantly increase staffing levels and resources, otherwise the aims of the collective redress legislation will be undermined.

The claimants, however, await the hearing with confidence, progressively implementing the most appropriate class action measures.
